This is one of the best smelling and tasting basil variety we’ve come across, with it's root tracing back to Mexico. Although named cinnamon basil, we like to describe the aroma to be “a mix of bubblegum, passionfruit and something tropical!” It does well in the sun but as with most herbs, the flavour is more pronounced when there’s a little bit of  shade. Butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects shower the abundant blooms of plant with love and the smell of this herb will dominate your garden in the best possible way!
 
We love it as a garnish, in herbal teas, juices, concentrates and salads; but the uses are only limited by your own imagination. Keep harvesting shoots to promote bigger and stronger vegetative growth if you want to harvest more leaves, or leave them to flower if growing them as an ornamental of to attract beneficial insects to your garden.
