Italian Basil (aka Genovese Basil) is the classic basil variety used in a variety of Italian dishes like Pasta and Pizza sauces, Pesto, Italian Seasonings, Salads, etc. A delicious, yet not overwhelming herby flavor that enhances any dish. Makes an excellent addition to potato sabzis and pakodas as well! The plants are easy to grow, long-lived and Bee and pollinator magnets. The seeds can be used like sabza/ chia. Excellent intercrop, espeically for crops like tomato. Infact many experienced gardens swear that planting basil near tomato plants enhances the flavor of the tomatoes as well!
