Nunum Basil is an african species of basil, that grows into a large woody shrub. Although it look similar to the native, Vana Tulsi, it has an entirely different smell and flavor profile. While Vana tulsi smells like cloves, Nunum Basil has an aroma more similar to Oregano/ Thyme/ Ajwain. Some even consider it a substitute for italian seasoning on its own. It also has a whole host of health benefits, including strong anti-inflamatory effects. The plants are perennials, and attract many beneficial insects.
